Aimer (pronounced "Eh-Meh") is a Japanese singer-songwriter renowned for her distinctive, husky vocal tone, a result of vocal cord damage from overuse in her youth. Debuting in 2011 with the single "Rokutousei no Yoru," she quickly gained prominence through her contributions to major anime soundtracks.
